The Big Ten Wins the National Championship for the second year in a row !

Image
The BIG Ten Conference has won the last 2 National Championships. Is it safe to say that the BIG Ten is the best conference in college football? The problem is that the narrative that is always being pushed is a certain conference is the best in college football every year. Many times these things are said before the season even starts. The whole point of the season is to let the games play out. With NIL and the transfer portal in play teams are not just going to lay down for you because you have a name on the front of your Jersey or because you play in a certain conference during the regular season.  Now, moving forward, I hope all people start to realize that rankings are okay, however being wrong sometimes is okay too! Most importantly let's not crown anyone too early.  Sit back, relax and enjoy the show...that's what makes college football so enjoyable every season.

Two Big Ten Teams Make CFP Semi Finals, SEC Commisioner wants Immediate Changes to Playoffs LOL !

Image
Well it looks to me like the BIG 10 was a pretty strong conference this year! And the BIG 12 was actually better than the Committee thought. The only question I have to the SEC Commissioner is would he still want an immediate change in the format if all 3 SEC teams were still in the playoffs? I personally think we only need 8 teams, however if the CFP Committee votes on 12 teams - let's do it!  The problem is people trying to change the narrative once the quote-unquote favorite team loses or the best conferences (according to pundits) don't have the greatest post-season performance. The semi finals will definitely be interesting. I can't wait until Thursday/Friday!!

Michigan and Illinois hold on to win

Image
Michigan came down the field on the final drive at home. Coach Moore got a much needed win. The drive before  Donovan Edwards fumbled however USC never took advantage of the clock late in the game. Michigan would put the game in the hands of their other running back Kalel Mullings.  He would have three huge runs that would help seal the game, including a 4th & 1 touchdown run.  Nebraska on the other hand came up short at home. The Huskers could have started 4-0. The Illini kept fighting back every time Nebraska took the lead. Eventually Illinois would get the win in Overtime.

USC And Michigan Meet again! Also Nebraska hosts Illinois

The Last time Michigan and USC squared off was January 1st 2007. USC came out on top in the rose bowl game 32-18 however this time the two teams are actually in the same conference. That's right USC will be travelling to Ann Arbor this weekend, the line is +6 .  In conference games this week are  Illinois at Nebraska. Northwestern will travel to Seattle to face Washington and Minnesota will host Iowa.

Wisconsin vs Alabama on Saturday

Image
Wisconsin 2-0 will host Alabama Saturday at home. The Nick Saban Era is over ,this will be coach Deboer's first big test.  Alabama is 2-0 and Wisconsin is 2-0.  Alabama's first two wins were vs WKU and USF. Wisconsin's first two wins were vs Western Michigan and South Dakota. It will best interesting to see how the two teams matchup  on Saturday.

USC delivers with win over LSU

Image
USC welcome to the BIG 10. The Trojans new look defense led them to a 27-20 Victory over LSU. In the first half the game remained close and was tied at half time. At the end of the 3rd quarter it looked like LSU would pull away. In 2023 the Trojans had great offense but could never close games out on the defensive side. This was a much needed win for Lincoln Riley and USC heading into BIG 10 play. Next week it's Uah State at home then a big road game at Michigan on September 21st.
